The 4th of July holiday weekend is almost upon us, and if you’re like a lot of people, you’re probably gearing up for a busy weekend. The same can be said for law enforcement agencies across the state, as a multi-agency enforcement crackdown is expected leading up to and throughout the 4th of July holiday weekend.
Although there has yet to be a formal announcement, history has shown that more than 300 law enforcement agencies typically unite as part of a statewide crackdown on dangerous driving behaviors throughout the 4th of July holiday weekend. Independence Day is typically a time when more people are on the road and ideal weather conditions allow for faster speeds, which when combined can be a recipe for disaster. That’s why police want a heavy presence on the roads and the waterways to catch drivers who may be a danger to themselves and others.
While they’ll be on the lookout for any and all violations, the four main aspects of the crackdown typically focus on the Fatal Four driving behaviors, which are:
- Drunk driving
- Distracted driving
- Speeding
- Unbelted driving
Know that police aren’t into giving warnings during the crackdown, so if you are stopped, expect a ticket or an arrest. Don’t try to talk your way out of a DUI or mistakenly think that the cop will be on your side if you spill the beans. Drive sober, don’t answer any necessary questions and pay attention to the road and your speed this holiday weekend.
4th Of July DUI Lawyer
We’re also gearing up for a busy holiday weekend, but we won’t be spending it by by the lake or at a summer barbecue. We’ll be ready to take your call and assist in any way possible. We know there’s going to be an uptick in arrests this weekend, and we want to be a resource for those who need legal assistance. We’ve done it for countless others, and we want to do it for you, just like we did for this client.
“My concern was the fact that there were other licenses that I held that would’ve been greatly affected by a DWI arrest. I was given Appelman Law Firm’s number from a friend who highly recommended them. They were very patient with me and walked me through the entire process step-by-step. After retaining them, I was able to get out of jail the next day. This would normally be a hassle considering I was arrested on the Friday of 4th of July weekend. They were very informational and reassuring. In the end, all my charges were dropped due to my breath test being under the legal limit. I have known people that have hired lawyers with less experience that basically just walked in and pleaded guilty for them even though they were under the limit. This did not happen with Avery. I highly recommend Appelman Law Firm.”
It doesn’t matter if you’re arrested at 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon or the wee hours of the morning on the 4th of July, we’re going to answer the phone and provide you with the assistance you need. Be sure to save this phone number and pass it along to anyone in need this weekend. (952) 224-2277.
Have a safe and wonderful 4th of July weekend, and always remember that we’ll answer our phones day or night if you need us at Appelman Law Firm.
