Former Oakland Raider and Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden was arrested and charged with DWI after falling asleep behind the wheel while waiting for his food at a drive-thru.
McFadden, 31, was arrested by police early Monday morning after employees at a Whataburger in Texas phoned authorities about a man who had fallen asleep in the drive-thru lane. Police arrived and noticed that McFadden showed signs of intoxication. McFadden did not cooperate with authorities, and in addition to the DWI charge he was also charged with resisting arrest, search or transport after police needed to break both his driver’s side and passenger’s side window in order to reach him.
He was later booked at a nearby station and was eventually released on bond a short time later. It is unknown if he has legal representation at this time.
Fast Food DUIs
