The Edina PeeWee B1 Green had a fantastic run at the 2025 Minnesota Hockey Peewee B State Tournament, bringing home the consolation championship!
After dropping their quarterfinal game to Wayzata White on their home ice, the boys were able to knock of Bemidji in the consolation semifinal before putting together one heck of a game to top Dodge County by a score of 1-0 in the consolation championship. Finishing the tournament with a shutout was extra special for both the goalie and goalie coach Avery Appelman.
Why We Do It
Avery and the team at Appelman Law Firm loves to give back to the community. Being able to make an impact in the lives of young boys in our community is priceless. When you’re able to help someone become a better version of themselves, it’s a wonderful feeling. We were reminded of that feeling throughout the season, during the tournament, and during a moment of reflection following the game when Avery was delivered this hand-written letter from a player.
“Thank you Coach Appelman for an unforgettable season. Thank you for always believing in me and being supportive always. I hope you can coach me again because you are the best coach I have ever had.”
We want to thank the boys for all their hard work this season. It was truly rewarding to watch you grow as athletes and as young men. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to work with this group, and I know you’ll continue to go on to do great things. I also want to thank all the parents, family members and fans who supported these boys all season.
