When he’s not fighting for justice for his clients, you can usually find Avery coaching youth sports or on the back nine of one of Minnesota’s many golf courses. However, on the rare chance that they have an open day during the week, Avery likes to spend time fostering an interest in law.
He usually does this by offering his services and knowledge to area colleges and law programs. Sometimes he individually mentors prospective lawyers as they work their way through law school, while other times he’ll give lectures or presentations to classes on campus.
That’s where you’ll find him today. If you are studying law at Hamline University, you might have heard Avery speak today on a topic he knows well; Criminal Law.
In connection with the Minnesota Bar Association, Avery spoke at Hamline University about his life as a criminal defender as part of a lesson called, “Everything BUT The Trial” School.
Avery is more than happy to share their knowledge of the law with anyone eager to listen. He’s helped students in all walks of life; Be it a law scholar trying to pass the Bar for the first time, or a class of students looking for “real world” advice. If you have questions, or if you would like to reach out to him to speak on your campus, give us a call at 952-224-2277.
