Appelman Law Firm was able to help out once again at the annual Our Hearts To Your Soles event in St. Paul.
The event was hosted on Saturday at the Catholic Charities St. Paul Opportunity Center and Dorothy Day Residence, and the financial backing for the event was provided by friend and colleague Dr. Lance Silverman, of Silverman Ankle & Foot.
For those of your unfamiliar with Our Hearts To Your Soles, it is an annual charity event in the Twin Cities that provides a number of essential goods and services to homeless and financially-burdened individuals in our community. The event provides free Red Wing boots, socks, hygiene kits and foot exams to individuals in our own back yard who may not otherwise have access to these services. Nearly 400 attendees came out to the event this Saturday, and it was a wonderful way to give back and to connect with those in the community who need it most.
Donating Legal Services
Appelman Law Firm has been donating their legal experience at Our Hearts To Your Soles for years. Our team sets up a booth at the event, and it gives attendees the chance to talk over any legal matters with a lawyer, free of charge. We cover whatever topics attendees want to learn about, whether that be resolving outstanding fines or ensuring they don’t run into legal trouble if they are homeless and looking for a place to sleep or stay. It’s amazing how a small legal issue can snowball into a major headache if the person does not have access to the right resources, so we like to help attendees get the information they need to settle any outstanding issues.
It is wonderful to see the generosity and gratitude every year from the volunteers and attendees, and we’re so thankful that we were able to assist in another Our Hearts To Your Soles. We hope to be able to share some pictures from the event soon, and we just want to say thanks to Catholic Charities Twin Cities and Silverman Ankle & Foot for helping put on another wonderful event. We would love to come back in 2025!
We hope that you and your family have the opportunity to give back this season and reflect on everything we have to be thankful for. And as always, if you or someone you know needs some assistance of their own, make sure to connect with Avery and the team at Appelman Law Firm today at (952) 224-2277.
